The Process

Our goal is to exceed our clients’ expectations and to grow our company through our reputation.

A True Partnership

Maybe it’s that spectacular kitchen you’ve always dreamed of, or a renovated basement to enjoy some increased living space. Or maybe you’d like a sunroom or solarium to spend starry nights, or even a custom-built home for luxury and convenience. You’ve got the big picture in mind, but not necessarily every design feature and construction detail. When you work with Daggett Builders, you work with a contractor who’s on your side. We bridge the gap between dreams and reality, and take the time to understand and truly appreciate your objectives. Then we create a plan, in writing, to make sure we’re all on the same page, working to achieve the same goals—your goals.

We’ll help and guide you through every step of your project: concept, design, permits and construction. Our experience enables us to suggest options and explain their costs—to tell you where you can save money, and where it’s wise to spend a bit more. You’ll get what you want, on schedule and on budget.

The Process

The process is simple and straightforward. We listen to what you need and create a plan, in writing, to meet those specific needs.

There are some very reasonable fees but your peace of mind is well worth the cost. Whether your project is large or small, we treat it as an important project. Good communication and follow through are the keys to success.

The plan will be broken into three phases. This plan works for people who need help with the design and for those who come to us with construction drawings. The design phase is complete when you have all of the information you need to get started.

Phase #1:

The big picture, a ballpark estimate and reasonable assurance that the final project will qualify for a building permit.

The purpose of Phase #1 is to save you time, money, and to eliminate as many potentially expensive unknowns as possible. Too many people spend their hard earned dollars and valuable time working out the details of a plan only to find out in the end that the project would cost more than their budget allows, or run into permit problems.

Phase #2:

Provide you with the facts you need to make informed decisions

We and our specialty subcontractors spend the time it takes to help you make informed choices. We work as a team with the architect or designer to look for efficiencies in the building system, and to minimize or even eliminate the need for change orders. Taking this next step will help you get exactly what you want for a price you can afford.

Phase #3:

Permits, Final Construction Drawings, Detailed Fixed Price Contract, and a Finish Date.

Our philosophy is that we have nothing to hide and no desire to play games with our clients or the team members. It is simple and straightforward. At the end of the design and build process, you end up with: What You Want * On Schedule * On Budget
